Camp NaNo and 100 Word Story

Hey, y’all! It’s been a while, I know. Sorry! There’s been a lot going on. Family things, illness, writing, job hunting… There hasn’t been much time for personal blogging.

Camp NaNoWriMo is coming up. WOOHOO! Those of you who’ve been around for a while know about NaNoWriMo. It’s National Novel Writing Month. Every November, people all over the world attempt to write 50,000 words in 30 days. Camp is pretty much the same thing, but a bit cool. There are two Camp sessions – one in April and one in July. For each session, participants can choose their own word count goals (anywhere from 10,000 to 999,999). There is also a Cabin Mate system where people can sign up for 5 cabin mates. The computer system picks based on preferences like age, genre, amount of activity, and requested buddies. The “Cabin” is a private message board for the 6 people in it to chat and interact. Cool, right?

So, yeah. I’m doing Camp. I STILL have not finished The Whispering Willow, so I’m dragging that WIP into the tent with me. The plan is to FINISH that, and start a new novel which will be the first in a series. LGBT series. Yezzir! I’m all risk-takey and stuff. Hehehe.

I spent some time working on my characters for the series last night. I did the basic work on it last year, but it needs beefing up. I like having complete, 3d characters before I start writing. I like to know their birthdays, physical appearances, hobbies, family life, backgrounds, favourite music, etc. I go deep. I’m going to try to finish that off tonight while watching tv shows. Yes, I also like a little distraction sometimes.

So what have you been up? I’m going to check out my Blogs I Follow list and catch up as much as I can, and comment, comment, comment. But if something crazy happened like a week ago, catch me up in the comments!

Also, check out this week’s 100 word story on my blog. đŸ™‚ Please comment and share. I’m really trying to increase my readership (and mailing list) right now. It’ll really count when it’s time for publication. Did I mention that you get a FREE MP3 of a song by a really amazing artists I know just for signing up? Well, ya do! Get on it!

Random Update

Heya!

Been a while, I know! There are lots of reasons for that. One of them is the weird changes WP keeps forcing me to adapt to. It’s also driving me crazy that I can’t figure out how to post the old way. Just this “New Post” button with the pencil that gives me a little typing space… It’s not the same. I hate it. Especially since every time I use it, my post emails to subscribers, but does not post online. It vanishes. GAAAAAH! I hope that doesn’t happen this time.

Are you following my new, shiny blog? That’s where I am, twice per week, posting 100 word stories, music I like, little notes of inspiration, etc. If you haven’t already, go have a peak! Read a story or two, and comment, comment, comment!

I have been back to work on my NaNoWriMo novel recently. I have 40,000 words to bang out by March 20. Yep. That equals a lot of cups of a tea and a few litres of icy cold Coca-Cola. Yes, indeed! I feel like I am getting close to the finish line. There will be lots of editing to do when I’m done writing it, but at least the writing will be done!

April will be another crazy month. Camp NaNo! YES! That’s write. Another writing challenge. I have another novel to work on in April, and the goal, once again, is 50,000 words. If you’re interested in writing and need a challenge, consider Camp NaNo. What is really awesome about it is that you can choose your word count goal. Anywhere from 10,000 to 999,000. Or something like that. You can tailor it to suit you.

Okay, what else? Hmmm… The job hunt is still on. It is taking reeeally long. The job market sucks, guys. My eyes are still open though.  The hunter must never take her eyes off the prey. NEVER!

Oh, I went on a day trip by boat on Saturday. More on that later, when I upload the pictures.

So what’s up with you? Anything cool going on?

Package Swap!

I think I told y’all about the NaNoWriMo package swap. Someone organized a huge swap where participants could sign up to get as many swap partners as they want. I signed up for 2. We exchanged information about ourselves and the kinds of things we like, then we went shopping for each other. It was a lot of fun!

I think I gave my partners a lot more info than they give me, so they were in a better position to pick and choose things. I told them things like: I love chocolate; I like owl/turtle/elephant things; I’m a notebook freak; I love pens; I like black tea; Cool socks are my thing; I love lime green; Ooh! Stripes!… So yeah… My stuff was AWESOME.

Both of my packages arrived on Friday. I was super excited to open it, and even more excited to rave about everything and show it all off to Babe.

Here’s a picture of my goodies from Kate:

Included in this package:

  • About six pairs of cool socks. One pair has an OWL. YAY!
  • An ELEPHANT bank. That I can PAINT. How cool is that?!
  • Stickers
  • Page clip bookmarks
  • Bracelet bookmark
  • LIME GREEN felt OWL coasters <— WIN!
  • Three cool shoelaces
  • Pens
  • Coffee Cuff
  • Chocolate
  • Notebooks
  • Sock purse <— Too cool!

Later this week, I’ll show you the contents of the other package (from Elizabeth).

I can’t believe how perfect these things are for me.

*happy dances*

How about you? What made your weekend? What awesome thing happened to you? Received any good gifts lately? Fill me in!

Three Things Tuesday

Heyyyyy! *points and jumps up and down* I haven’t seen you in forever! Where’ve you been? …Say what now? It’s ME? *I* went missing?! *thinks* Oh.

Sorry.

Things are nutty, okay? But not like legume-y nutty like peanuts. I mean trendy, fun, oh-so-good nutty like almonds. Or walnuts. Ya know? The good kind of crazy.

As you know, it’s NaNoWriMo time, and I’m MLing like a CHAMP! I’m tweeting like mad, updating a FB page like an addict, and hosting events. Let’s not talk about how I totally MISSED one of them. *sighs* (I told you things were nutty. But that one was peanut-y. Blech!)

Okay, on top of that, I launched my website! YAAAAHOOOOOOOO! No. I didn’t use Yahoo to build the site. I just wanted to say that. (I feel nutty. Did I mention that?)

Ok, before I drive you away, I’m just going to say three things. Just three.

  1. ImageI launched my website, mmkay? It’s my author website. I’ll be posting excerpts of my work, reviews, sprinkles of inspiration, and slices of life. The servings of life slices over there won’t be as thick as they here though, so keep up with me here too! I know you’ll want to sign up for my email updates, but don’t do it before November 9. That’s when I’ll have a free MP3 for you, just for signing up! đŸ™‚
  2. ImageI had my first request for an event/food review. How cool is that?! Babe and I went to SUGAR RUSH – an event that was all about sweet indulgence. There were eight booths set up by pastry and dessert businesses. Yes! Cupcakes, cake pops, brownies, rum cakes… All goodness. There was also a great LUSH RUSH bar with signature martinis and iced teas (leaded and unleaded). And my JOB was to TASTE things. Say whaaat? More please! I’ll be posting my review of the event in about a week over at my brand spankin’ new website! đŸ˜€
  3. It’s Election Day in the US! WOO! If you are eligible, GET OUT and VOTE. It’s your right, and no one else can exercise it for you. Every vote counts. [insert more you-should-vote rhetoric here.] Really though. Go vote!

And that’s it. That’s three. The limit for today.

OH, NO! WAIT! ONE more thing!

GUEST BLOGGERS. I need some. Ahem. Ruthie. *coughs* Christina. *fake sneezes* Nicole. *points* Madtante. *nudges BWithBooks* *pokes YOU*Just for the month of November. I’ll take 5 people. You can talk about food, share a recipe, tell a funny story, give workout tips, share some of your favourite music, rave about your favourite product, review a book… Whatever! As long as it doesn’t break any of my 3 blog rules (I don’t know what they are yet), you’re good. If you’re interested, let’s talk! Send an email including your name, blog link, and what you’ll blog about to guestblog[at]aliciaaudrey[dot]com. I’ll get back to you pronto!

Thanks for sticking around, even through my absence. You RAWK!

What’s new with you? What post in the last week (of yours) is a must read? Linkit!

I Guest Blogged!

Heya, pals! Happy Monday! I hope you had a rockin’ weekend.

I went to flag football practice, and that was pretty much the high point. Practice was good. It was kinda rainy, but it was a welcome change from the horrid heat. The sun still came out in full blast, and Babe and I got very bronzed. I love it! It’s rather satisfying to look at my tan lines. I’m weird like that. The international cultural festival (better known as “Food Fest”) was this weekend. We didn’t make it. Meh. No big deal. Last year kinda sucked.

This week, as you know, there’s lots to do. NaNoWriMo is NEXT. FREAKING. WEEK! fkjdigkjioghjisohgjh

So, big news. I guest blogged for someone! Yes. Me. I feel all special and stuff. It’s all about NaNoWriMo prep. Pleeease hop over to Suzan Butler’s blog and read my post. And leave a comment or question. It’ll make me smile (really wide) to see you over there.

Enjoy the rest of your Monday. I’m off to tweet about my guest blogging. đŸ™‚

Excitement and Entertainment

Hey, y’all. Just a quick post to prove that I’m alive. Haha. Two things today. First, I’ll tell you about the exciting things I’m up to. Then, I’ll tell you what tv shows Babe and I are enjoying these days.
Exciting things:

  • NaNoWriMo! I’m ML for The Bahamas – Super tiny region. Hoping to increase the number of participants. Beyond that, I’m really excited that Babe will doing it, and as a REBEL! She’s writing a musical. Also excited that our good friend Ashley is joining the fun. If nothing else, the three of us will get to hang out (in person AND on twitter), and bang out 50,000 words of AWESOME. Join us? If you want in, let me know! Join our region! (You can join more than one, but can only “home” to one.) We can have online word wars and such. You know you wanna!
  • WEBSITE! I’ve been talking about this forever. “I need a website.” “I need to start building my author platform.” “I need a professional social media identity.” “Hmmm… I should have a website.” You know what. Hush all the noise. The domain name has been purchased! I have a website! It’s not live yet as I am still tinkering with things. By this time next week, it should be up and ready for your viewing. Yay!
  • Writing projects. I have about 10 things I need to do, writerly. I have two shorts to do final edits on, one flash to complete+post for critique+edit, two one-act plays to write, one 10-minute play to write, and two short stories to write. AND I need to set my story milestones for the NaNoWriMo novel. All this in FOURTEEN DAYS. On TOP of 2 weekly blog posts on the NaNoWriMo blog. Oh, the insanity! I love being busy though, I’m not gonna lie!
  • Flag Football. I seriously considered quitting. Seriously. I’m not big on quitting, but I’m not big on looking like an idiot either. I wasn’t feeling very good about my abilities. Well, I’ve figured out that it’s not really me. It’s the crappy lighting we’ve been practicing in. I do MUCH better in the light. And our games will be in the afternoon, so YAY. Mind you, I may still quit. We’ll see. The coach kinda pisses me off, and I think we may have to curse it out once or twice before the season even starts. Also, I don’t like being the worst person on the team, OR warming the bench. I’m not one to make up numbers. If I’m on the team, I’m gonna PLAY. If not, I’d rather read a book at home. Real talk, y’all.

Ok, enough of that excitingness. My heart is beating super fast and I’m getting drunk on adrenaline or something. On to the tv shows…

  • We LOVE Downton Abbey. It’s started again! YAY!
  • Homeland. It’s started again too. It’s really quite interesting.
  • We just started watching Switched at Birth. I really like it. It’s awesome that there’s a tv show with half its story line being about people who are deaf while not highlighting it, or making it seem like the worst thing in the world. It’s a pretty awesome tv show, and I really like the range of characters. Gotta say I really like Bay and, right about now, I’m finding Daphnee reeeally annoying. I’m glad Bay and Emmett are together. They’re cute.
  • Misfits. It must be starting soon! I’ve seen people tweeting about it, and posting about it on Facebook. YAAAYYY! We were super addicted to it, and watched the first season in about 4 nights.
  • Person of Interest. Holy craziness! This show is fun.
  • Scandal. We watched the first episode of the current season and then forget about it. Gonna have to look it up.
  • White Collar. I just like Neal. I really do. He’s just so cool, all around. Haha.
  • Criminal Minds. I think we’re watching season 6. I want to hurry up and get into season 7, but I don’t think it will make sense until Babe sees what happens in season 6. Sooo we’re watching season 6. We don’t watch it much because she thinks it gets a bit gory. I admit that it does, but it doesn’t bother me as much as it bothers her. We definitely can’t watch it while having dinner.
  • Modern Family. YEP! Still lovin’ it!

Our tv show interests are quite broad. We watch a lot of different things. I recently watched an episode – wait… TWO episodes – of Four Weddings? Something like that. Four brides compete for a honeymoon. They all attend each other’s weddings and rate them in different categories. Whoever has “the best wedding” wins the honeymoon. It’s kinda weird, but I got some good laughs watching it.
Now it’s your turn. What interesting things are going on in your life? Any new commitments? Goals? Crazy to-do list? Will you do NaNoWriMo with me (and my crew)? What tv shows are you enjoying right now?

NaNoWriMo Excitement

It’s been a while! I know!

ImageThere has been a lot going on. Without getting into too many details, there has been lots of figuring out, waiting games, wedding planning, NaNoWriMo prep, being a first-time ML for NaNoWriMo excitement, and on and on and on. The good news: EVERYTHING IS FINE. What is it that they say? Everything works out in the end, and if it doesn’t it’s not the end… Or something. ANYWAY. Lol. I’ve just gotta STAY CALM and KEEP LIVING. Or KEEP CALM and LIVE ON. (They should make one of those graphic thingies for that quote.)

Look what I just got:

Image

EXCITEMENT!

I want my region (The Bahamas) to be AWESOME. I’m hoping to attract people who live in The Bahamas, are from The Bahamas, or wish they were in The Bahamas… Or people who just know I’m awesome, and hope to be equally awesome, and see this as a great way to do it. That means you, mkay? You’re included. If you’re NaNoWriMoing, definitely join the Elsewhere::Bahamas region. You can still be “homed” to whatever other region you like. You can join as many as you want. Ours will be awesome because we’re doing lots of Live-on-Twitter events. Wine parties, word wars, word sprints, and chats. You know you wanna!

I got the blog all set up, and I’m posting at least twice per week. In October, I’ll be focusing on planning and general NaNoWriMo prep. In November, there will be lots of motivation, fun(ny) posts, links to coolness, music suggestions, answers to questions, etc. The Facebook page is also up, and waiting for you to LIKE it! AND. Of course… TWITTER! Follow BahamasWrimos!

Let’s have some fun being crazy novel writing people! 50,000 words to write 30 days. WEEEEE can do EEEEET!

I have more things to tell you, but I let the NaNoWriMo excitement get a little out of hand in this post. There is more to come!

Tidbits:

  • Totally went to a bookstore to get ONE book. They didn’t have. Went to another. They didn’t have it either. I left with a bag full of stuff. Only spent $20, but still. It wasn’t the book I wanted. Lol. I LOVE bookish things!
  • I’m really excited about NaNoWriMo. Wait… Did we already cover that?
  • Wedding planning just got a whole lot better. I discovered the most amazing site ever. We can get pretty much every tangible thing we need. For less than a million smackeroos. Yep. That’s right. Spending less, and still getting a lot of AWESOME. Huzzaaaaah!
  • Football practice has been AMPED. UP. Trainer dude worked with us at the last two practices. Everyone had aching thighs. No one else openly admitted it, but even my bootay was a lil zingy. Haha. I have no fear. This bootay ain’ goin’ nowhere. (See what I did there? I rhymed.)
  • I’m reminded that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to be on the GO, GO, GO! Not literally… Just BUSY. LOVE it. I thrive on having a million (good) things going on. It makes me feel so amazingly good and useful and of value. Crazy? Maybe. But I like iiiiit.

Hope you’re having a great week!

Tell me tidbits. What’s going on with you? Will you please join the NaNoWriMo fun/insanity? *smiles sweetly*

If you’re joining the fun, let’s buddy up! Find me here.

Thankful Thursday

Lots of things have been happening. I’ve been acting on things more than thinking about them lately. I’m holding myself accountable. I need to do what it takes today to be happy and fulfilled tomorrow.

Here’s a little slice of goodness from my week:

  • Got to the grocery store, FINALLY.
  • Picked up three movies to watch. Babe and I are whipping through tv shows and movies like nobody’s business and it’s getting harder to find things we haven’t seen yet AND would like. May soon resort to the classics. Haha.
  • Doing much better with water consumption.
  • Finally proved that I’m not completely inept, and I DO know how to throw and catch a friggin’ football. (I just refuse to put in full effort when I bored, nearly to death, and simply tossing the ball back and forth. Give me a challenge, and I will accept!)
  • My application to be ML (Municipal Liaison) for my region (The Bahamas) in NaNoWriMo was accepted. WOOT, WOOOOT! So exciting!
  • On the FINAL round of edits for my food flash for the Food & Drink themed short story competition. I’m letting it rest for a week before taking my last look at it, doing final tweaks, and sending it off.
  • Finally working on a story I had resting for months. I think it’s been months. I’ve decided that some of the suggestions in the critiques were way off base. They wanted me to give them more story. Backstory, really. That is NOT what a flash piece is about. I decided to make it even shorter. Cut it from almost 1200 words to under 1000. That is MAJOR.
  • Planned my entire ML month – In-person events, online events (Twitter hashtags/chats), created a blog, listed blog enough blog post ideas to post 2x/week until the end of the year, created a Facebook page, and secured venue for in-person events. All I need to do now is plan my novel (which I started months ago).
  • Projects, projects, projects! Lots of things to work on. I love it.
  • Positive feedback. I’ve been doing a lot of critiquing on Scribophile, and sometimes I think I may be taking things too far, BUT I want to be honest. Makes no sense posting work for crits if you don’t want the good, bad, and ugly, right? So I go hard. A lot of people seem to appreciate it, and send me the nicest little messages, thanking me for my help. One woman even said I’m a great editor AND writer, and called it a “power combo”. WOW. Mind. Blown.

How about you? What are you thankful for this week? What has you feeling great?

The Stuff of This Week

It’s been a while, I know. Things are kinda crazy. Here’s what’s up:

  • My great-grandmother died on Monday. We weren’t close. I didn’t grow up with that side of the family. I talk about my great-grandmother often, but that my dad’s dad’s mother. She’s 92, healthy, fiesty, and fun. Barr, on the other hand, was 95 (Yeah, longevity is kind of a thing in my family), and seemed to be dying for a long time. She had Alzheimer’s or something of the sort. The last time I saw her, I think, was at my aunt’s wedding reception about two years ago. Anyway, her funeral is on Saturday.
  • Took my dress to the dry cleaners today. My sister borrowed it months ago, and I just got it back yesterday. And not in the condition I lent it in. I’m slightly annoyed, but blame myself. I never lend out anything I want back. People just don’t care for your things the way they do their own. It’s annoying. I hope the cleaners get the makeup stains (UGH!) out, and do NOT damage the gorgeous embellished neckline. I’ll post pictures if it looks fine, and I end up wearing it on Saturday.
  • Jobs! I need one! Something I thought would never came through actually did. It’s now a viable option, but it won’t pay very well. And there’s really no room for it to grow. The pros include the short work day (8:30 to 1 or so), it’s something I enjoy, and leaves me with time to write. It would just become very necessary for me to supplement my income, especially if we ever wanna save enough money to move. The other option… It’s more stable and pays more, but I have no idea when it starts. There are about 3 months of training, and after that, I’d remain a trainee until promotions come out. The major pro for that job is the possibility of being transferred to another island, rent-free. Hellooooo, Savings, and hellooooo, new country of residence! Babe and I will have to discuss, and figure things out.
  • My cousin is away for about a week. That means a full week of work for me. YAY! Income! I’m not making loads of cash, but I can pay bills, and buy grocery. This is good.
  • I neeeed to start working out again. It’s SO hot. It’s really hard to get out there and run, but I GOTTA. I’m feeling lousy. This always happens when I don’t exercise. I also need to practice yoga. At least I can do that indoors. I have a great book that helps refresh my memory, so I practice what we did in class. There’s no class during the summer. Looking forward to it starting again in September. Oh, and being able to afford it! Hahaha.
  • Writing. It’s come to a screeching halt. Things got uncomfortable at home with some mishaps and plumbing issues, and then I got sick. My energy level has been terrible, so I haven’t been getting much done outside of the work day. I need to get back on track. There are deadlines to meet, a class to complete, and publishing goals to be met!

  • Got an email from the Community Liaison of NaNoWriMo. They got my application to be the Municipal Liaison for The Bahamas. There wasn’t one last year, so I probably have a good chance of being chosen for this year. It should be fun, and give me a chance to meet other writers. Always good to network, right? And I’m hoping to be able to convince Babe to join in the fun. She could even write 50,000 words worth of songs if she wants too. I just think it would be cool to take on the challenge together. And, of course, she could accompany me to the events I’d have to plan as ML, and then I could always say that ONE person showed up. Hahaha.
  • My brother is hilarious. We share a ridiculous sort of humour. At one point, we were quipping back and forth, and he said, “No one in the world as miserable as us!” It was pretty funny because we were talking about not wanting to be bothered by or with anyone, and not being interested in hearing any belly-aching or complaining this week. Oh, even funnier, I was complaining about the graveyard part of the funeral. I don’t get why families WATCH the casket as it is lowered into the ground. I told him it’s medieval. He said, “What? Medieval?” I said, “Yes! Archaic!” He said, “Listen to me… You and me been to the school right, but you been to college on top of that. You need to take it easy on me with these jokes.” I couldn’t stop laughing. Then he added, “You have a whole college class of people you could crack your college-level jokes with. You and Daddy always have me rollin’ with dictionary.” Too funny!
  • I feel like I need some things to look forward to right now. I decided to come up with a little list. Here it is:
    • New job – Whatever it may end up being
    • Getting my next assignment done, and getting feedback
    • The Color Run in Orlando (Hoping that we can make it!)
    • Watching The Bourne Legacy and the Timothy Green movies with Babe on the weekend
    • Getting in some beach time this weekend
    • Starting my 5k training again, and feeling better about myself
    • Making lasagna (as soon as our kitchen plumbing issue is resolved)
    • Ordering and receiving The 3am Epiphany, and having fun going through the writing exercises
    • Spending lots of time with Babe (SO glad she’s back!)

Any craziness going on with you this week? Any weekend plans? What are you looking forward to?

Hella Good!

Quick post here, quick post there. I know that’s the way it’s been lately. I’m really not trying to treat you like a stepchild. I’m not. It’s just so KAH-RAY-ZEH all the time now! I love it!

Sing with me now. “Ya got me feelin’ hella good, so let’s just keeeep on dancinnn’. Ya hold me like ya should, so I’m gone keeeep on dancinnn’!” Shake those booties. LEMME SEE THOSE BOOTIES IN THE AIR!

Okay… *sips water* I’m calm now. Here are a few quick things I wanna share with ya:

  • The time change has ruined my life. Okay, not really. But it DOES suck really, really bad. I hate it. Why the frig does the time keep changing anyway?! Who came up with that stupid idea? It sucks. Now it’s super effing dark when I get home in the evening. Know what that means? Very little gets done. I can’t go out and run. My eyes trick the rest of my body into being tired so I don’t get much writing done. Or cleaning. Or cooking. Or whatever.
  • I have a lot of writing to do. A LOT. NaNoWriMo is still kicking my butt. I need to give’er! I ONLY wrote on Sunday. That’s IT. SUNDAY. Pathetic! I have to catch up by the weekend, or it just won’t make any sense. I also have a short story to work on for a competition. I stopped at about 1900 words. It’s supposed to be 2,000-5,000 words. It’s looking like it’ll be closer to the 5,000. The story is pretty good, though I’m not quite sure which way I’m going with it. I’m confident that it will be done by the weekend. Then, I’ll toss it aside for a few days before I get to editing. I feel quite confident that the story itself (so far) is good. I’m just not convinced that it’s a WINNER. It needs to be a WINNER. Ya dig?
  • I’m off track with running. I’m not sure what I should do. It is REALLY too dark to run at night. It’s be too dark to go in the morning as well since I have to leave home so blasted early to get two buses to work. I need to get a car soooon. My life needs to get back on track.
  • Super excited about a Wine Dinner with Babe on the weekend. Our friend Vanessa is coming with us. We may pick up a stray or two to sit at our table. There’s a slight savings for tables of 4 or more. Either way, we’ll be there, and we will LOVE it. I’ll post the menu later.
  • I still love my job. It’s so great. My office is great. The people in the building are really nice, and always seem to be in a good mood. If they have problems, they obviously leave them at home. I like it!
  • Christmas is coming, fast and furious. We have less than two months to go, people! I don’t know if Babe and I are going to do the whole decorating thing. I hope so. I really like having a tree, and at least SMELLING Christmas. If we’re gonna do it, we should get on it soon. I’d like to order our hanging ball decorations for the tree within the next 7 days so they get here in time. Also, two places are having sales until Saturday. We need to get what we need to get while those sales are going on. I’ll see what I can do about getting a car for our errands. I’m anxious to get my shopping done. Online, online, online. Like I said, Dec. 1, I plan to be DONE. It even rhymes. I’ll be DONE on December ONE. Yep!
  • I went through a gazillion (read: a dozen… and a half) websites and copied, pasted, and emailed writing contest info to Babe. That way, it can get copied and pasted into Pages on zee MacBook, and I can access it at home. I’m really getting into this writing thing, y’all. It’s like, something was laying dormant in me for ages. All of a sudden, Babe gives me a few little talks, and I’m doing NaNoWriMo again, I’m writing a short story, and I’m thinking about all of the other stories I’ll be writing over the next few weeks. It’s fun! Did I forget how much I love writing?! I think I did… Anyway, I’m back in the saddle. YEEEE-HAAAAAWWWWW!

Well, there are just a few minutes left in my work day. I FINALLY got my delivery of office supplies, and this place needs some organizing and putting together. I also need to water my beautiful orchid. Even at the end of the day, things, things, things to do. I love it! I’m such a busybody. Hahahaha.

Hope your week is going SUPERRRRRRR!

Do you have any fun plans for your weekend yet? Are you participating in NaNoWriMo? Is there anything you gave up for a while, and need/want to get back into? What lights up your life? TALK TO ME!
